EasyJobSite is built around the way a residential builder really works: a handful of jobs at a time, a phone in one hand, and eight or ten sub companies who need to know what is happening without another phone call.
One dashboard, six stages
Every project sits in one of six stages — Lead, Estimate, Contract, Construction, Completion, Warranty period. The stage is worked out from the sales stage and production phase your office already sets, so it is never out of date and there is no third field to remember.
Inside the Construction stage the card still shows the production phase it is in: pre-construction, site work and foundation, framing and dry-in, rough-ins, finishes, punch list, or on hold with the reason.
When you record the warranty end date, the project takes itself off the active dashboard on that date and is kept for another year before it is cleared — so the list you look at every morning stays short.
On every project
- Client, site address, scope and the office owner
- Subcontractor assignments and their live status
- Job log — notes and photos from office and crew
- Documents and photos, with who uploaded what
- Messages: an office channel and one per sub
- Budget and contract figures, for the roles you allow
A free sub login that shows them their work and nothing else
The reason sub portals sit empty is that they ask a busy trade to learn a whole platform. A sub signing in to EasyJobSite sees a list of the jobs they are on. That is the whole screen.
They set their own status
Scheduled, in progress, blocked, or done. Blocked asks for a one-line reason — waiting on another trade, materials, inspection, access — so the office finds out from the app instead of on Monday.
They post photos from the phone
Straight into the job log, stamped with their real name and the time. No email chain, no texting photos to a number that is now full.
They never see what they should not
No customer contact details, unless the office ticks “share customer contact” on that job. No budget, no contract amount, no office-only conversation. Not hidden — the database refuses to hand it over.
One login, every builder
A sub who works for three builders on EasyJobSite uses one account for all three. That is what makes them willing to use it at all.
Access ends the moment it should
Take a sub off a job, deactivate their company or remove their login, and their access to that job is gone on the next click. Nothing is cached.
Free. Now and later.
There is no sub tier and no plan where subs start costing money. Every extra sub login costs us a couple of cents a month, so charging for them would be a tax on using the product properly.
How a message moves
- Office posts in the conversation for that job and that sub.
- Everyone on that conversation who has email copies switched on gets a plain-text email with a link straight back to the job.
- The sub replies in the app — or opens the link on their phone and replies there.
- The message in the app is the record. The email is only a nudge.
One conversation per job, per sub — plus a private office channel
Group texts about four jobs at once are how details get lost. In EasyJobSite each job has its own office-only channel and a separate conversation with each sub company on it. Nobody is notified about work that is not theirs.
Who gets an email copy is decided in the database at the moment the message is posted, and checked again when it is sent — so somebody removed from the job in between simply does not get it.
Roles you build yourself, enforced by the database
A bookkeeper, a project manager and an owner should not see the same screen. In EasyJobSite you write the roles, choose what each one can reach, and whether it applies to the whole company or only to the jobs that person is on.

Not just a hidden button
Every rule is checked in the database on every read and every write. If a role cannot see money, the money is not sent to that browser at all.
Nobody can grant more than they have
A role can only hand out access its creator already holds, so permissions cannot quietly climb upwards. Every change is written to the company access log.
Support access is opt-in and timed
We cannot look inside your account unless you switch support on. Then it is for a stated reason, for a set number of minutes, read-only, never money — and every minute of it is in your log.

Name, phone, email and town — what shows on the app and in emails to your subs.
Employees
Every login, the role it holds, and a switch to deactivate someone the day they leave.
Subcontractor directory
Your sub companies, their trades, their logins, and who is active right now.
Website estimate requests
A “Request an estimate” form on your own website drops straight in as a Lead. It gets nothing back out.
What is coming next
These are not built yet. They are in the app as greyed-out items you cannot open, because a menu that pretends is worse than one that tells you. Nothing on this list is needed to run a job today, and none of it changes the price.
